Canada’s Growing Global Connections

Canada wants stronger connections with Africa. They’re including Morocco and Seychelles in their travel plans. Sean Fraser, the Immigration Minister, talks about expanding the eTA program. This makes it easier for people from these countries to visit Canada for fun or work.

Fraser said people from these countries will have easier and cheaper trips. He talked about how having more countries on the visa-free list helps with travel, tourism, and business. It also strengthens ties with these 13 nations around the world.

“The visa exemptions for these ‘known travelers’ from these countries can lead to them saving a lot of money,” Fraser explained.

Currently, a visitor visa costs only $100 per person and $500 for a family of five or more. In comparison, an eTA costs just $7 per person and is good for up to five years.
